Round 14 of Betfred League One is fast approaching – and here’s what to expect this weekend!
Third tier action is back on Saturday and there’s a standout tie taking place between 1st and 2nd in the table.
North Wales will host Workington Town and will be looking to extend their lead at the top.
It’s the Crusaders who have won the last three meetings, but these have only come by a margin of four points or less. They last met in Round 4 where the Welsh side pipped a 14-16 victory on the road.
Can North Wales stretch their winning streak to five matches, or will the Cumbrian outfit register back-to-back wins?
Meanwhile, Midlands will be looking to avoid a third straight defeat when they host Rochdale at The Alexander Stadium.
The Hurricanes endured back-to-back defeats against North Wales Crusaders and Goole Vikings in the previous rounds and have slipped to third in the table.
Similarly, Rochdale are aiming to bounce back after their gut-wrenching last-minute defeat to Keighley last time out.
It’s the Hornets who have won their last three away meetings with the Hurricanes – will Rochdale close the gap on their opponents, or can the hosts keep in reach of the top two?
Keighley and Dewsbury will battle it out in Round 14 in West Yorkshire.
The Rams are well in the hunt for a top four spot, although Keighley will be hoping to spoil the party after a recent resurgence.
The Cougars may have narrowly lost out to Swinton in Round 13 but mustered up wins against Rochdale and Newcastle in the weeks before.
Dewsbury, who are unbeaten in four of their last six matches, should also be feeling pretty confident.
Finally, Whitehaven welcome Swinton to Cumbria and the teams will clash for the third time in 2025.
They last met in the opening round of League One, with Swinton coming out on top 16-10. The sides also faced one another back in January in the Second Round of the Betfred Challenge Cup – with Whitehaven progressing to the next round with a 24-12 win.
Haven have won their last four home meetings with Swinton – with the Lions' last away victory against their opponents coming in February 2020...
